FAQs

  • What does "lthi" stand for?
"lthi" stands for little things home improvements. When I started my business in November 2001, I didn't think about the future when I would eventually begin doing BIGGER projects. Now that I do BIGGER projects, the name still works because to me, it's the little things that matter most. It is the little things that hold the BIG things together. A few little nails can hold up a BIG roof. A little key makes an entire vehicle move, float or fly.

Don't sweat the small stuff. When it's the little things that matter most, I'm at your service.

  • What all do you do?
Everything but carpet. Just call and ask. (502) 533-8282. I started as a handyman and learned a little bit about every aspect of residential structures, from electrical to plumbing, carpentry to drywall, from trimwork to cabinetry, hardwood to tile, kitchen and bath remodeling to finished basements. I have some pretty strong relationships with other professionals who do things I do not do, such as licensed plumbers and electricians. I have developed a high level of respect for specialized professionals and have learned to appreciate the skills required to becoming a general contractor for larger projects. I think I have made it obvious that I enjoy custom woodworking and cabinetry projects, but I also appreciate that I am a problem solver and will look at most any project. If I cannot do something for whatever reason, I have developed some good relationships through the years with other passionate professionals.

  • Can I have a copy of your plans?

You can purchase a copy of my available plans on my other website here

  • I hate my kitchen cabinets!  Do I have any options besides totally replacing them?
You have tons of options. It all depends on what your goals are. If you cabinet interiors are dingy and falling apart, replace them. If the cabinets and frames are in good repair with minor damages, then filling, sanding and painting and replacing doors and drawers might work well for you. If you are changing the layout of your kitchen, it might be a good idea to install all new cabinets.

There are numerous options out there.

  • Do you do price matching or beat prices? Is that your best price?

I submitted a project to a pricing survey in a major industry publication. See for yourself how my pricing stacks up for the quality and abundance I deliver. View the report here.
